The Pet Trainer is in!

My name is Karen Lanoue-Lambrecht I am owner of PAWS-itively Obedient and a Certified Pet Dog Trainer. I have been in the animal field close to 28 years as I started my career as an animal health technician. In the mid 90's I adopted an 8 month old American Eskimo and within a short time enrolled in a group dog training class where I worked at Angell Memorial Animal Hospital. The instructor was a veterinarian and a behaviorist and I had a great time learning at the class and working with my new dog. I asked if I could keep coming to classes to learn more and thus started my desire to become a dog trainer.I started my business in May of 1995 and took a national certiication test for pet dog trainers in 2001.
A CPDT (Certified Pet Dog Trainer) must continue to attend educational seminars and accummulate CEU's (Continuing Education Units) every 3 years to keep their certification title. I also belong to the Association of Pet Dog Trainers.The Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT) is a professional organization of individual trainers who are committed to becoming better trainers through education.
